Get it right
- Follow the detergent label for your load size and how dirty it is
- Use HE detergent in high-efficiency washers
- Put pods in the empty drum before the clothes, never in the dispenser
- Use less with soft water, a little more with very hard water
Signs of too much
Stiff or itchy clothes, a sticky feel, extra suds and a musty washer can all mean you're using too much.
