Most stains come out if you treat them quickly and keep them away from heat until they're gone.
The basics
- Act fast: fresh stains come out more easily
- Blot, don't rub, which spreads the stain
- Rinse from the back of the fabric with cold water
- Pretreat with liquid detergent or a stain remover
- Wash in the warmest water the label allows
- Check before drying; heat can set a stain
Test first
Try any stain remover on a hidden seam first to check it won't damage the color.
Never mix bleach with ammonia, vinegar or other cleaners. Mixing can release toxic gases. Fresh Nest Daily isn't paid by any detergent or appliance brand.
